藝術家介紹

　　娜歐蜜是來自澳洲墨爾本的藝術家。她近期的作品環繞在「無可言說」及「無法探詢」的主題。以追尋黑暗、寂靜、神祕事件、世界邊緣的連結，表現在繪畫及紙上作品中。她一直著迷於神祕邊界的風景，並探索介於天與地之間、人與自然之間的相關性。

　　娜歐蜜關注自然環境如何形塑影響人的行為，以及將自然宇宙現象詮釋發展為信仰的過程。她對於科學與宇宙哲學有極大的興趣，特別是兩個領域交疊的不可見，所可能碰撞闡釋的祕密訊息。

　　2003年從倫敦雀兒喜藝術學院畢業，她開始發展對於空間意象的作品。2005年，在倫敦居住約五年後回到墨爾本，繼續鑽研宇宙星相與神祕事件的題材。她的作品曾於倫敦白教堂畫廊、都柏林愛爾蘭現代美術館、巴黎靈泉基金會、及巴黎尼古拉希林畫廊展出。
 

Naomi Bishop lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. The Unexplained and Unexplored are recurring themes in the work of Naomi Bishop. In her paintings and works on paper she explores darkness, silence, mysterious events, and peripheral, other worldly places. She has always been fascinated by frontiers and mysterious landscapes. Through her paintings and works on paper she explores the relationship between the earth and sky, and between humans and nature.

Naomi Bishop is interested the way the natural environment shapes and effects people, and the ways in which natural and celestial phenomena are interpreted and developed into belief systems. She has a shared interest in both science and metaphysics, and the point at which they might converge and reveal secret knowledge from unseen worlds.

After graduating from Chelsea College of Art in London in 2003, she started to work with imagery from space and space exploration. In 2005 Naomi returned to Melbourne, after living in London for almost five years. She continued making work about astronomy and magic. Her work has been exhibited at museums including, The Whitechapel Gallery in London, The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, Fondation Hippocrène in Paris. She has had several solo and group exhibitions at Galerie Nicolas Silin, Paris.
