「狗對於我來說是孤單寂寞的象徵，是個人的縮影寫照，牠也如同每個人內心一般，都是孤獨脆弱的……。」

「狗」在林煌彥的成長過程裡一路相伴，尤其在他生命低潮期間，小狗更扮演了具療癒性的重要角色。在林煌彥的繪畫中，彷彿可以透過小狗既安詳又低鬱的身影，看見藝術家正在一個靜謐的角落，將其內心深處的聲音、內在根本的衝動，以機械性的重覆，揮灑在畫布上，畫作遠觀浮現主體輪廓，近看可見線條筆觸，林煌彥透過藝術手法表現其追求的單純感。

本次林煌彥創作個展「融合．延展」將於2012年10月6日起，在新樂園藝術空間展出，10月7日下午3時設有座談會，歡迎各界蒞臨指教。

“The representation of Dogs to me is a symbol of loneliness, it is a microcosm of a personal portrayal, the same as everyone's innermost being, that which is loneliness and vulnerability...”

Lin's "Dogs" have accompanied his every developmental stage, especially when he was down and out, dogs played a key role in curing his depressions. In Lin's repetitive artistic expression, we can see the voice of his heart speaking through the mechanical strokes of his paintbrush with an intrinsic and fundamental impulse that is being poured out onto his canvases in a quiet corner somewhere. Taking into account another view from afar, then we can see the painting's main outline, however, when we take closer look we can see the painting's brush strokes. In these paintings Lin is trying to present the pureness he wants through his artistic and expressive techniques.

This time Lin's personal art exhibition "Blend‧Extend" will be held at SLY Art Space on October 6th 2012 and following up next day is a symposium at 3 p.m. Please come to visit us and take a look!
